I found some erroneous entries in my credit report. I mailed a letter last Friday. How soon should I expect the errors to be corrected? Will I receive a letter from the credit bureau? A phone call? Or will the change just appear on the report?

There are two things on my credit report that I need to have removed. They are both judgements for money owed to landlords. But they were both payed off a long time ago.

I’ve heard you need to mail “proof of payment” and a letter to the credit company, also some form of I.D. I believe.

If anyone can tell me the exact process, and who to mail these items to, I would really appreciate it.
