If I let someone borrow money and they don’t pay it back, how would I report them to the credit reporting agency? sources?

I used to live in state A, and someone in state B (a state I’ve never even visited) used my SSN to establish a telephone account then proceeded to run up a $1000 debt. It went unpaid and was sent of to at least 4 different collections agencies. Each credit reporting bureau is reporting some combination of this collections debt, but they all differ. I have filed an ID Theft affidavit, but am unable to file a police report in state A because the crime occurred in state B. I am unable to file a report in state B because police reports must be filed in person. I have included federal and state A tax forms from the time the ID theft occurred as proof that I was not living in state B at the time. I have disputed all occurrunces of the debt at all 3 credit agencies, some have removed one or more instances of the collections items, some have not. They have not all removed the same items. Is there any way to get all 3 bureaus to be consistent in their removal of items?

Lyrics: Buckle up everybody cause were taking a ride it can strain your relationships and hurt your pride its the credit roller coaster and as you can see it kinda bites so sing the lyrics with me when your debt goes up your score goes down when you pay a little off it goes the other way around its just the same for everybody every boy and girl the credit roller coaster makes you wanna hurl so throw your hands in the air and wave em around like a wannabe frat boy trying to get down then bring em right back to where your laptops at. I recently (about a week ago) applied for a credit card. Today I checked my credit report, and it wasn’t on there, how long will it take to show up?

Due to some recent finance problems, my credit card company stated on my credit report a write off/charge off for the debt. ($19,000) The collection agency says that is just an accounting term and they can still collect the debt. Can they?

I know debts stay on your credit report for 7 years after the date of the last payment. I’ve racked up a decent amount of credit card debt and haven’t paid anything in 2 years (meaning there is 5 more years til it gets erased from my credit report.. I am now going to completely settle all of my accounts so I have no debt but was wondering if this will restart the clocks for how long these past due account will be shown on my credit report.

I owe $9,000 in student loans. They just started garnishing my wages for $500/month. The loans were from 1998 and do not appear on my credit report. The collection company told me that once they’re paid off that they will appear as not in default on my credit.

My credit card account is currently in good standing but in November of 2006 I was 60 days past due. Your credit report shows your payment history for 7 years so this is showing as a negative on my credit report. I’ve heard that you can ask the credit card company to take it off without doing a “hard pull” or something on your credit. Please help!!
